More about the Contest 36 S

Contest designs by Dick Zaal are popular with many sailors because of the good sailing characteristics, the robust construction and the large amount of space in the cockpit, on deck and below deck. The boat we offer was built in 1985 and has been proven to be very seaworthy. The boat first sailed in America and was sailed to Europe by the previous owner on its own keel. After that, beautiful trips were made in Europe with the Contest. The boat is very well maintained, necessary maintenance and possible replacement has also been carried out in recent years. The engine was overhauled in 2004, there is an extensive sail wardrobe and a lot of space on board. This makes the boat very suitable for long sea voyages. The mahogany interior is remarkably spacious compared to 36 foot designs from other yards. Next to the entrance is the navigation area to port and the galley to starboard. The saloon has a sofa to port and an L-shaped sofa to starboard. Both in the bow and in the stern is a double cabin, spacious enough for tall people. Amidships between the saloon and forward cabin is the toilet and shower room. The engine is easily accessible all around for service. This boat is very suitable for people who want to make long trips, but of course also for a holiday in their own country or a weekend on the water. If you are interested, please contact the White Whale Yachtbrokers Enkhuizen office via [email protected] or +31(0)228 855 380 for more information. Viewings are possible from Monday to Saturday, by appointment only. Your yacht broker is Robert de Vries.
