More about the Spirit 36

Excellently maintained Spirit 36, ready to sail for a new owner. After 29 years of sailing pleasure aboard this Spirit 36, the current owner would like to pass on the baton to a new owner who will enjoy it as much as they did.

The Spirit 36 needs little explanation for most sailors but for those who are not so familiar with it; the Spirit 36 is designed by Jac. de Ridder and built by van Heygen in Boom, Belgium. Like every Spirit, this boat is characterized by its above-average build quality and fine sailing characteristics. As soon as you step aboard you will notice that this ship is made for sailing. The wide, teak-decorated gangways, the deep cockpit with a small bridge deck and the robust finish are all features that allow you to look for big waters with confidence.

Through the small bridge deck you enter the cabin. Here it is once again confirmed that the boatyard did not economize. Everything is solidly finished with beautiful mahogany and it all feels equally solid. To starboard is the chart table. Here you will find the necessary equipment and switch panel for the onboard electronics. On the port side is the practical galley. This is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, running water (cold only) and plenty of storage space.

Midships is the warm and cozy saloon. Both port and starboard here are comfortable sofas and there is a table in the middle where the entire crew can sit. Further forward in the ship we first encounter the wet room. This is spacious and occupies almost the entire width of the ship there. And all the way in the forepeak is the forward cabin. This Spirit 36 is equipped in the owner's version "2" as it is called in Spirit circles. This means that she has a spacious double forward cabin, a second double cabin to starboard in the stern and also in the stern but to port, another single cabin. So three cabins in total with five fixed berths.

If you are looking for a robust boat with above-average sailing characteristics and a high level of finishing, the Spirit 36 should certainly not be missing from your list of favorites. This Spirit 36 in particular has been excellently maintained and is ready to sail for a new owner. We would love to hear from you to make an appointment for a viewing aboard this Spirit 36.
