More about the Moody 376
The Moody 376 is a Bill Dixon design, built by the renowned shipyard Marine Projects Ltd. in England. She is a comfortable and extremely stable sailing ship and therefore very suitable for long sea voyages, but also for short day or weekend trips. Due to the shallow draft, the boat is also suitable for trips on the Wadden Sea and the Frisian Lakes. The ship can accommodate 4 people and 3 guests and is therefore very suitable for a family stay. The center cockpit with fixed spray hood offers shelter in all weather conditions to the crew and navigation instruments, which are mounted in a clear view under the spray hood. The benches and the floor are made of teak. There is a spacious locker for storage of the sails and a storage compartment for the winch handles. Below deck we enter the spacious, light cabin. The interior is finished with teak. On the starboard side is an L-shaped sofa and on the port side a single sofa (also a single berth). The table is built around the mast support and consists of 2 folding parts. We find storage space in the side walls and behind the backrests. On the port side next to the cabin entrance is the U-shaped kitchen with double stainless steel sink with hot and cold water, 2-burner stove with oven and cool box. On the starboard side opposite the galley is the chart table/navigation area with extensive switch panel. In the bow is a double bed in V-shape with en suite shower and toilet room with a sink with hot / cold water mixer tap. On the starboard side aft is a pilot berth, which also serves as a seat for the chart table. Here the engine compartment is accessible through a large hatch. In the stern is the surprisingly large owner's cabin with a comfortable double bed and an L-shaped sitting area. The whole is completed with an en suite bathroom with hot/cold water and a wardrobe.
