More about the Elan 38

The Slovenian Elan yard does not need any introduction for the experienced sailor. For years she is known for its comfortable and well-performing yachts. The Elan 38 is designed by J & J design. This guarantees sailing pleasure for both cruising as performance sailing. The hull was constructed under the supervision of Registro Navale Italiano, a precursor to CE. The boat is in remarkable good condition and the gelcoat still has a nice deep shine. Halyards and trim lines are lead under decks to the cockpit to the self tailing winches under spray hood. There are three sails; a dacron genoa from 2005, mainsail from 2011 and a gennaker. Both ganoa and main are mounted on furlers so that reefing or taking away the sail is quit easy. At the helm with folding cockpit table are B&G navigation instruments and a large sunlicht navigation display. Both decks and cockpit are covered with teak. Part of the decks need new plugs. The remarkably spacious and bright interior made of teak woodwork is beautiful and looks very neat with remarkably little wear. The salon has a U-shaped, leather sofa and a large table. To starboard is the galley with all modern conveniences including double sink, cool box, and stove with oven. To starboard is also the chart table where you also find the switch and thermostat for Trumatic heating. In the bow is a large owners cabin with private shower. In the stern, you will find two spacious cabins with a total of 4 beds. There is ample closet and storage for a long stay on board. To port is a spacious head with toilet and washing facilities. The engine is accessible through the removable stairs. This Elan 38 is a modern sailing yacht with good sailing characteristics. Both in terms of equipment and comfort, this yacht from 1994 is still contemporary. We invite you for a visit in Den Oever. Please make an appointment for a visit through [email protected].
