More about the Salona 45
The Salona 45, a J & J design built by the Croatian AD shipyard has excellent sailing qualities and is also very user friendly for cruising sailors. The dark blue hull and teak deck give the boat a classy look. The deklayout is well thought out and organized. Around the pit are six Lewmar winches where all halyards, sheets and trim lines are being led. On the large mast TackTick instruments are placed so that the crew can read them easily. The sail wardrobe includes mainsail, genoa and high aspect jib and for broad reach courses there is a gennaker. The interior has a nice atmosphere because of much use is made of light materials. The finishing of the woodwork in cherry is beautiful and especially the Corian worktop of the kitchen stands out. The salon has a cosy sitting area with new blue cushions and a large table in the middle. To port is the galley with double sink, stove and oven and fridge. The kitchen has plenty of storage space for supplies. The bow has a large double owner's cabin with private washroom, complete with mirrors, a wash bowl and plenty of storage. In the stern are also two large double cabins. On either side of the cabin’s entrance you will find a large bathroom to the left and right is the navigation area. The engine is easily accessible for service by the large hinged hatch up. All in all, this Salona 45 a very successful product design. Inside really enjoy to stay, out of a desire to sail.
