This Van de Stadt 40 is a true no-nonsense yacht. Dutch built, high quality, 2 double cabins, lots of comfort and very reliable. Features like fixed deckhouse and possibility to lower the mast can be more then convenient. The rig is solid and all lines lead to the cockpit. She comes with 2 new (2010) sails (main and 135% genua) and a High Aspect jib. The deck is plain antiskid paint and easy to maintain. The underwatership has undergone a major refit in 2008, inlcuding new epoxy protection. The cockpit is safe and has a good layout. A cockpit tent is provided. The interior is designed by Hoek and De Wit architects. It is designed and built to offer a spacious and modern accomodation that is still functional and easy to maintain. Standing height is about 195 cm. The yacht has 2 cabins: 1 in front with a private washbasin and 1 in the rear. Both are spacious and light. Further she has 1 head with shower and an open galley/salon space with large charttable. The benches in the salon make 2 wide beds as the backs can be raised. Saling with heavy weather is well possible due to the protected cockpit and the solid building quality of this yacht.
