More about the Koopmans 36 Polka Mazurka

The Koopmans Polka Mazurka 36 we offer is built in the 1974 by Kesteloo in Terneuzen. It is a fast and seaworthy yacht which offers enough space for 4 to 6 passengers. This charming boat with beautiful lines and distinctive design details has undergone many essential improvements. E.g. in 2008 the entire rig, redesigned by D. Koopmans jr is replacement. Very tasteful is the cream color of the superstructure and rigging. The cockpit is deep and offers good shelter behind the new (2011) sprayhood. Interestingly, the tiller in the middle is placed so that the helmsman easy all lines and engine control is within reach. The instruments are easy to read. So the boat can easily be sailed solo. The deck is very spacious and the teak is in good condition though the front needs some maintenance. The interior has an open character because it is not closed by a bulkhead and door. The woodwork is beautiful dark mahogany with light doors in closet and storage space. The bow has a double berth, and in the stern are two pilot berths. In the lounge the benches also serve as two beds. There is a small but full galley to port and at starboard a charttable with the necessary navigation equipment. The reliable Vetus engine is mounted in a box under the stairs. This Koopmans Polka Mazurka 36 is a yacht which is very suitable for trips in the open sea and has potential for club racing. After all improvements have been made over the past few years she is now totally ready to go. Are you interested? Please make an appointment for a visit to Volendam.
