More about the Beneteau First 45f5
For the design of the First 45F5 the Beneteau yard commissioned two top designers. For the excellent sailing characteristics Bruce Farr is responsible. His designs are not only regular winners on the race track but also user-friendly for the cruising sailor. For a pleasant stay on board and pretty functional design details signed the Italian Pininfarina office . From behind the big steering wheel one has a good overview and control of the boat . Around the cockpit are six Lewmar winches and Harken electric winch . The deklayout is well thought out and organized. All deck ware is placed so that the many trim lines are at your fingertips. The sails are high- quality recent Hyde sails. For deep running courses there is a choice of two spinnakers . Once inside the cabin breathes peace and quiet thanks to much use of beautiful dark wood and light materials such as aluminum and white cushions. There is a good balance between beauty and functionality. Chic design details such as lamps, windows and deck lights catch the eye. The finish of the woodwork is beautiful with many curves. There are slight traces of use, to be expected at a boat of this age. The lounge has a cozy seating area with modern white pillows and an oval table. To port is the galley with double sink, stove and oven and fridge. The kitchen has plenty of storage for supplies. In the bow is a spacious double cabin with private washroom, complete with large mirrors, a sink and plenty of storage. In the stern are two large double cabins. On either side of the cabin entrance you will find a large head left and right navigation area. The Perkins engine is well accesible for service through the large removable hatch for service. All in all, this Beneteau First45F5 can be considered a very successful design. Inside very pleasant to stay, outside of a joy to sail. We invite you to come for a visit in Amsterdam.
