The Noordkaper 40 is a very robust and seaworthy Dutch quality yacht. The stage of completion meets the highest requirements and on board you will find all the luxury and comforts that make life on board enjoyable. The boat was designed by M. Bekebrede. This is a yacht with great looks; at one hand tough, on the other hand, tasteful and sophisticated. The deck is easily accessible with wide gangways at which a stainless steel guard rail is welded . The two-component paint system is repainted in 2012. Also the underwater hull has two layers of new antifouling and anodes. At the helm are engine control and autopilot installed. Although there is no second wheel, also from the deckhouse the boat can be steered with joystck, autopilot and throttle. Thus, you have a choice in good to sit in the cockpit again and in bad weather to search shelter in the heated cabin. The rigging is modern and the sails are easy to reef . The sails are placed on rollers so they quickly take away. The jib is self tacking so easy. The advantage of the chosen rig is that the sail-point is low and much better to the circumstances. The maple-timbered interior is made with great craftsmanship as the solid curves partitions show. The wheelhouse is both under sail and in port a great place to sit with open views around. Right is the navigation area with equipment. A few steps down lead into the salon. To port a double cabin is placed amidships . Also to port is the galley with both microwave, oven as well as cooling. To starboard is the table with sofa and chair. In the bow is a separate toilet and shower room. In the front is a 2 person cabin. The Noordkaper 40 was launched in 2001 after a construction period of approximately 18 months and is in good condition.
