More about the Van De Stadt 55 Nirwana
The Van de Stadt 55 "Nirwana" we can offer is a well maintained and well equipped yacht. It is suitable for both charter, residential as well as long trips and definitely to sail with a small crew. The hull is solidly constructed of Corten steel and insulated with rockwool. The hull, deck and superstructure are well preserved with a two-component coating system after the ship was blasted in 1999. The deck is very wide and accessible with around a solid guard rail. From the outside steering position in the cockpit one has a good overview and the shots to hand at heavy duty winches. Raising and lowering sail happens at the mast, where they can find support in a solid stainless steel bracket. The genoa is for use under a cover on the foredeck. Also from the wheelhouse there is good views all around and this is a pleasant place even when one is in port. In the classical interior includes many nice details such as the deck prisms with beautiful light. Upon entering from the wheelhouse is the right area with cozy stove, left is the galley which can be cooked at sea. Through the hallway to the front leads to a number of bedrooms and the wet cell. To the left is a pile of bed, and in the bow cabin with a V-berth and storage space above it which may also be used as a bed. To the right is the master cabin bed which is suitable for tall persons. In the stern is a separate room with 6 beds and toilets. Much work has been made on modernizing the engine room. Everything is clearly laid out and organized. The van de Stadt 55 which we may offer is very complete and fully ready to go. We invite you to come for a visit in Monnickendam (NL).
