More about the Danish Rose 31

Yacht architect Bekenbrede is known for his rugged and seaworthy designs. This sturdy kotter kits Danish Rose 31 motorsailor is built for every weather condition and will certainly allow you to make long crossings and explore distant coastlines. The boat has been very well maintained, both technically and cosmetically. The deck is easy to walk on with spacious decks and wide gangways. There are two steering positions on the boat; one outside with a tiller, and one inside with a hydraulic steering wheel. This gives you the choice of sitting in the cockpit in good weather and seeking shelter in the heated cabin in bad weather. The rig is modern and the sails are easy to reef thanks to the lazyjacks. The jib is mounted on a roller so it can be quickly taken down. The staysail is self-tacking, making tacking easy. The advantage of the chosen rigging is that the sail point is low, which contributes to the stability of the ship. Next to the bowsprit stands a beautiful mechanical anchor winch on the foredeck, which certainly adds to the boat's rugged appearance. The teak-finished interior shows almost no signs of use. It has been fitted with great craftsmanship, as evidenced by the beautiful curves and sturdy bulkheads. On the port side is the inside steering position, from which one has a good view of the boat and the water. All navigation equipment, including a modern chart plotter and the engine instruments, is within easy reach. On the right is a navigation corner, doubling as a buddy seat. Two steps down leads to the galley with double sink, cooler and oven. On the right is the toilet room with washbasin and shower. The saloon has attractive dark blue upholstery. By simply lowering the table, a spacious bed is quickly created. In the bow is a fixed double berth. On the port side, behind the steering position, is a genuine pilot berth where one can sleep in rough seas. This space can, of course, also serve as extra storage space. All in all, this is a successful design and an eye-catcher in the harbor. It combines nautical nostalgia with modern technology and is a joy to sail. She is big enough for a family, and small enough to sail alone. If you have any questions, or would like to make an appointment, please be sure to contact us.
