She is a lady of age, but that doesn't mean she takes it easy; she still outshines many a modern vessel.

 

The owner has put a lot of effort into keeping this Grand Dame in top condition, and considerable investments have been made over the years. For example, the hull and superstructure were repainted in 2018, and the engine and saildrive were overhauled, including a new saildrive gaiter. Furthermore, a new Proctor mast was installed in 2000, the rigging was renewed, and the sails were renewed in 2013. In short, what was needed has been done, and a bit extra as well.

 

As soon as you step aboard, the typical cockpit layout stands out. It is split into a "helm cockpit" and "cockpit", the advantage being that the skipper is not hindered by the other passengers. Cleverly designed!

 

When we then enter the saloon, you will see dog kennels to the left and right of the entrance, which are partly located under the cockpit. Further forward in the vessel, there is a spacious chart table to starboard, and opposite it, to port, a compact but practical galley. Midship is the saloon with bench seating on both sides, which can also be used as sleeping berths, with two additional (bench) beds above them, and there is a table in the middle. In the saloon you will also find a diesel heater. This is not only very comfortable but also fits nicely with the style of the vessel. Finally, there is a double cabin and the toilet in the forepeak. Of course, sufficient storage space has been created throughout the vessel so that you can neatly stow your belongings on long journeys, for which the vessel is exceptionally well suited.
