The junk-rigged schooner “LAN-AW” was designed by architect Max Hiehle and built by Johan Vels in Nieuwe Niedorp. The end result is a unique sight on the water and a boat suitable for a small crew. The design is thoroughly thought out, and long stays on board are possible in both warm and cold areas. Due to the variable draft, a large sailing area is possible, and one can easily dry out. The boat is easy to operate both under sail and with the engine. Reefing or lowering the sails can be done from the cockpit; the sail comes down by gravity and falls between the lazy-jacks.
The interior is designed to human scale. This means that movement space and ample space in the sleeping cabin have been well considered. Please read the extensive description from the owner/designer. You can find it with the extra documents.
This boat is being brokered through office White Whale Yachtbrokers Enkhuizen. If you are interested, please contact us via [email protected] or +31(0)228 855 380 for more information or to schedule a viewing on board. Viewings are possible from Monday to Saturday.
