The Lemstra 36 is a sturdy and seaworthy yacht, very solidly built by Schutte in Stadskanaal. A fin keel is welded to the multi-chine hull, and the rudder is mounted on a solid skeg. The skeg itself is stabilized by two plates. All in all, the Lemstra 36 is a robust yacht, suitable for long voyages. To allow water coming over the deck to drain away quickly, a virtually flush deck with a low superstructure was chosen. The safe, sheltered cockpit offers enough space for a crew of 6 people. The cutter rig is heavily built, as are all deck fittings and anchoring gear. A wind-vane self-steering system is mounted on the transom, as well as a wind generator on a mast. The interior has a nice nautical feel and is made with teak and white panels. Amidships there is a table with a U-shaped seating area. On the right are two armchairs with a table in between. On the left is the L-shaped galley with stove, oven and cool box. On the right is the navigation corner with the necessary navigation equipment, including a computer. A striking detail is the beautiful stove amidships. There is a separate forepeak with two berths. Aft on the right is a spacious pilot berth, and by lowering the table two more berths are created. Amidships on the left is a spacious bathroom with storage space opposite. The engine is accessed by removing the steps and the side panels.
