The Van de Stadt Madeira 44 is a fast and seaworthy yacht, very stable. The design is ideal for long distances thanks to her fixed doghouse and large cockpit. This steel yacht was built by the owner himself and is in good maintenance condition. In 2023 she was completely fitted with a new paint system, the latest antifouling is from July 2025. She is an ideal combination of comfortable living on board and fast offshore cruising in all conditions. The boat is easy to sail with a small crew or even solo.

The interior is spacious with a warm nautical look. The joinery is beautifully finished in a combination of dark wood and many light panels. The many windows and hatches let in plenty of light. Upon entering, on the port side is the generous L-shaped galley, equipped with all modern conveniences. Opposite on the starboard side is the navigation corner. Amidships is the spacious seating area with generous sofas around the table. In the bow is the owner's cabin with en suite bathroom. In the stern there are two cabins with a total of 3 berths.

The propulsion comes from a VW diesel engine with 75 HP. The advantage of this reliable engine is that if parts are needed, they are available in many places around the world. The technology on board is also well executed and drawings are available for everything.
