Racing yachts are a familiar sight in Dutch waters and hardly need any further introduction among experienced sailors. The current second owner has maintained the boat well and made many investments from 2015 to 2024. This Waarschip 36 LD (light displacement) offers a number of interesting features that make her special. She is a sporty yacht suitable for racing but certainly also for cruising, both with crew and solo. With her sleek lines, well-thought-out deck layout, and modern rigging, she radiates class. The spacious deck offers ample freedom of movement and seating for the crew.
The interior of the boat has been kept deliberately simple, making it spacious and easy to navigate. There is a comfortable saloon and four sleeping places, making the boat suitable for both longer voyages and short trips. This Waarschip 36 has stable hull partly thanks to the deep, lead-ballasted keel. Integrated water ballast tanks are located in the hull, which can be used to achieve even greater stability if desired. However, the tanks have never been connected.
