More about the Fairline 40 Flybridge

Super nice Fairline 40 Fly, only 600 hours on the engines!

This Fairline 40 has been used very little and you can tell by the boat. The boat has just been completely very meticulously cleaned and polished. The most striking of this boat are exceptionally low running hours (600) and the very nice hull with hardly any signs of use.

This model has a nice aft cockpit with a rear bench with a nice wide staircase to the upper steering position. In this rear cockpit, on the large rear bench you can keep good contact with the water without the tent.

The FlyBridge. On top you can feel the ship particularly well. Together with the two engines and another bow thruster you can maneuver very easily. Mooring / docking is child's play. The two large heavy power engines (Volvo's) are very reliable and very well maintained. Fortunately, the engines are controlled by only two throttle levers and not by an extra set of levers for the reversing gear. This way, you can easily steer with only the throttles to use. This model has a nice wide driver's bench on top of the flybridge, extra speakers, and extra cup holders. There is also an extra seating area expandable into a reclining/corner bench present on the flybridge. The dashboard of the flybridge is spacious, the steering wheel is well centered, and the whole thing gives you a good overview of the entire boat. The radar bracket gives the boat extra appearance. There is a nice heavy galvanized anchor present with the electric foot switches. The entire superstructure is nicely equipped with a sturdy railing and many safety handles. The railing is still nice and straight and not bent. The ship also has a search light. The anti-reflex plexiglass sunscreen edge is still completely intact and undamaged. There are still several navigation systems present.

The entire additional upper helm above is surrounded by a beautiful high stainless steel guardrail. This again gives an extra safe feeling. There is also a stainless steel railing made to facilitate going down, for example. The paddle bracket can be folded down and the radardome/protection cover is additionally protected with an extra stainless steel bracket. The whole thing can be covered with an additional cover tent. This is also present and still in good condition.

The ship has new fenders, new flag and even a new Geuzen flag. This model has beautiful stainless steel portholes. On the foredeck is a great sun deck built with 5 lovely cushions that still look very good. There is a nice spacious and easily accessible swimming platform with a stainless steel swimming ladder. So you always bring your own pool. There are also two Davids/boat cranes on the aft deck made for lifting a small follow boat. The tent of the aft deck the aft cockpit is still good.

All aluminum windows are still in very good condition and the rubbers are still nice and there are also no signs of water damage. Both on the foredeck and on the swim platform there are beautiful additional stainless steel fender holders.Through the sliding glass doors you enter the salon. Here you immediately notice the beautiful width of the boat. There is a spacious salon bench in L shape and a large coffee table in this salon. The steering position is therefore very extensive and also offers space for fellow passengers, so sailing together in this ship is great fun.

A nice big extensive and tough dashboard gives you good visibility all around because of all the windows. The nice big dashboard is great: all those clocks, gauges and switch buttons. Right next to the steering position is handy kitchen built in. A nice U-shaped kitchen with all kinds of extras. Lots of storage space and a nice 4 burner stove. Double stainless steel sink with stainless steel faucet. Large stainless steel oven is present, partly as an extra extractor. The boat has many 220 volt outlets, a gas alarm and extra lighting in the kitchen. 105 liter refrigerator by Waeco.

Many ships do not have a hanging locker but I have counted several hanging lockers. Still handy for clothes like shirts and jackets, neat pants and dresses and blouses.Walking forward we enter the owners cabin. A large double bed with good all-round access. Again daylight and plenty of ventilation through the glass light hatch. The light hatch/ escape hatch has no water damage. Loudspeakers, extra ceiling cabinets, nice headboard/wall cushion for the bed. Also here 2 hanging lockers and the passage to the toilet/shower room. The entrance door to this front cabin is completely mirror lined inside.

The guest room is very spacious and allows for two berths. The toilet room has an extra sink, stainless steel porthole, mirror, hand switched toilet (no noise at night). The most expensive part of a shower is the sump, and so it is beautifully present here. There are several vents in the front cabin as well as in this toilet stall and shower stall.

The engines are easily accessible and nice and clean, and no leaks of water, fuel or oil were detected by me. The engines run nice and quiet, shafts and propellers have just been checked by the yard.

There is extensive documentation, invoices and manuals available. If you are interested in this beautiful Fairline, please call your yacht broker at White Whale Yachtbrokers Pieter Pepping 0031 (0) 653 345 219 or email [email protected]
