More about the Havkat 31

General description This by designed Lars Oudrup Havkat 31 is built at Rhebergen in Amsterdam as a demo and therefore the boat we offer is building number “1”. The entire boat is made sandwich of polyester an foam. Despite her age she is in mint condition, not the least because the owner has spared no effort to keep her in shape. As an example, in 2007 the rig completely was renovated. She has an extensive sailing wardrobe of quality sails. The Havkat 31 has a high fractional rig with back and checkstays. She is intended to sail with mainsail and self tacking jib but there is also a regular genoa. She is easy to handle by only 2 experienced sailors. There is an asymmetrical spinnaker and two more symmetrical spinnakers. The last two are set on a regular spinnaker pole, the first has a carbon telescopic boom that retracts ingeniously under the trampoline. The almost new engine from 2009 is placed between the two hulls in an engine box top. The motor starts electric and provides more than enough power to achieve good progress and maneuver ability also in windy conditions. The main feature of the Havkat 31 its large center cockpit, and this can be largely covered with a tent providing very much living space. In normal Havkat there's trampoline from the back, but this boat has a hard floor so there is even more living space. The accommodation in the hull consists of a double bed in the back of the port hull and a single bed in the starboard bow and stern. In the port hull you will find the navigation area and bathroom. The toilet is even equipped with a holding tank. The pantry is located in the starboard hull. The Havkat 31 is a fast cruiser catamaran for the experienced sailor. Under the catamaran sailors Havkat already is a household name. Even for experienced monohull sailor this boat can be interesting, though you probably will have to learn to sail boats like these. This effort is certainly rewarded for sailing with the Havkat is a sensation every time! Are you interested? Please make an appointment for a visit through [email protected]
