More about the Gillissen Kotter 1200 AK

This Gillissen cutter has the characteristic lines of a ship designed by Theo Gillissen. The current (2nd) owner is in possession of the building plans. After blasting in 2008, the steel, round truss, jogged hull is epoxy coated and finished with a single-component paint and antifouling.

The ship has a continuous keel (at a depth of 120 cm) with a center sword that can be retrieved with a hand winch (up to 180 cm). Two solid keel keels (also 120 cm) were added later to allow comfortable upright descent. The two masts are made of wood, the sail wardrobe consists of 4 sails, including gaff. The sails can be operated with 2 winches. This boat is brokered through the White Whale Yachtbrokers Enkhuizen office.
