More about the Chatam 47 Extrem

On behalf of the 2nd owner we offer this aluminum Chatam 47 Extreme sailing yacht. The Caroff & Duflos design with multi-chine and variable draft is proven seaworthy and a typical bluewater cruiser. The Chatam yachts are therefore particularly popular with departures and people who want to live on board. The "Barracuda" is easy to sail solo. The boat is built as a real offshore sailing yacht for the discerning sailor, made of high-quality aluminum and has amply proven itself on many long sea voyages. The boat was built in-house by the French 1st owner. This was his third yacht built at the Chantier du Golfe yard. The current owner has made a number of adjustments. For example, the bow has been straightened for better behavior in the waves. The stays are partly made of Kevlar continuous rigging as can be found on eg Volvo Ocean boats. The interior is more practical and the electrical cabling was renewed in 2019.

The cockpit is equipped with a so-called doghouse with watertight door. People are safe and dry here under heavy seas. The interior is spacious and practical. Amidships is the saloon with a large table and a long galley to starboard. In the stern are two cabins; one with a double bed and one with a bunk bed. Amidships to starboard is the chart table and to port the spacious wet cell with shower and toilet. Also amidships is a cabin with a double bed and opposite a navigation corner with SSB station. Navigation and steering is in the wheelhouse and at the helm in the cockpit. In the bow is a large storage and workspace, ideal for jobs on the road. The engine room is large and the engine is easily accessible all around for service by tilting the stairs.

For those looking for a good sailing seagoing yacht, this Chatam 47 Extreme centerboard is an absolute must. This boat is mediated through the White Whale Yachtbrokers Enkhuizen office.
