More about the Standfast 50

Looking for a robust and comfortable vessel to take on long voyages? Then this Standfast 50 is certainly of interest to you. This Standfast began her life as a 47-footer with two masts but in collaboration with Frans Maas himself she has been modified (fully documented) to 50 feet and fitted with a single mast. Those extra length feet are in favor of a more practical transom and the new rig offers even better sailing characteristics than she already had.

The beautiful blue hull, the teak deck restored in 2020, the seriously tall mast makes it an imposing vessel. It not only looks tough and robust but as befits a Standfast she really is. As soon as you step aboard everything immediately feels solid and sound. The spacious decks are easy to walk on and if you walk further aft you can find a comfortable spot in the center cockpit which is extra protected by the partially fixed sprayhood. Always nice in case the weather is a little less nice.

Inside the ship you are welcomed in a warm and nautical atmosphere. Beautifully finished teak everywhere which tastefully combines with the recently renewed leather upholstery on the seats. Speaking of which, amidships you will find a comfortable bench to starboard with plenty of storage space behind the backrest. Opposite that on the port side is a substantial U-shaped settee with a nice table in the middle. This is a great place for all passengers to sit and relax.

If we move a little towards the stern, you will see a spacious galley on the starboard side, equipped with all modern conveniences so that every kitchen prince or princess can really let off steam. Opposite this on the port side is the chart table with the necessary equipment and the operation of all onboard systems. Also on this side of the ship is the passage to the aft cabin. This cabin is really remarkably large and equipped with a double bed, a bench seat and its own separate wet room.

If we go all the way to the forward part of the ship, there you will find the second wet cell and a room with a bunk bed. In the forepeak is the third cabin with another double bed and storage space.

This ship is excellently maintained and comfortably equipped with, among other things, the in 2021 renewed Raymarine instruments, a generator and Victron inverter and the central heating system. In addition, she looks very nice with the blue hull and the in 2020 restored teak deck.

In short, do you want to leave soon for that dream trip around the world seas? This Standfast 50 is ready for it!
