More about the Draak Draak
The Dragon we offer here is still unique in all aspects. It is a complete rebuild Dragon from 1937. The ship is in perfect condition (just like new). The total renovation in 2005 cost nearly €150.000,-. The ship is completely rebuilt at Jan Vandamme in Zeebrugge. Some original details are restored, the rest is completely renewed. Extensive use of fine mahogany and teak. The hull has 21 coats of lacquer. All fittings are made of Davey & Co, all blocks are from Harken Racing. Some other upgrades are done in 2008, such as paint and antifouling. There is also a trailer (2008). The beautiful sails are completely manageable from the cockpit. The genoa has a Harken furling system, which is built beautifully below dek. The Lombardini diesel is built so that it is easily removable, perfect for racing enthusiasts! The engine offers many comfort and convenience, and is a real upgrade for this ship. A trip to Eemnes is definitely worth it and we can really recommend.
