More about the Formosa 56
Fine example of the Formosa 56 ketch rigged cruising yacht. She is in good condition with all her wood work, canopies and upholstery all well cared for.
Built according highest quality standards by the prestigious Formosa shipyard in Taipei, Taiwain in 1982, this ketch will make an excellent live aboard or world-wide cruiser. Not to be compared with other yachts of the same category, due to exclusive woodwork finishing, including carved wooden figures inside.
With her long keel she can be expected to exhibit superb sea keeping abilities in all conditions, her standing rigging appears to be in good condition and the sails are all in working condition.
Nevertheless, the last owner never used the boat for long-distance cruising. Probably because she is lying in one of the most attractive marinas of the mediterranean coast of Spain: Alicante. A bustling capital of tourism, with international airport connected daily with all destinations in Europe. Right in the centre of town, in an exclusive berth of the RYCA (Royal Yacht Club of Alicante). Possibility to buy this berth together with the yacht for only 33.000 € extra (including costs to become member of the club).
Below decks she is very spacious with a large linear galley, open saloon and full beam stateroom at the aft section. All contributing to a real sense of space and proportion. Forward of the saloon there is a cabin with 4 berths.
