This Skarpsno 44 is a design by the renowned Dick Zaal. The lines plan has many similarities with Colin Archer, which guarantees pleasant sea behavior. "Orp" belongs to the 1st owner and is in good maintenance condition. The boat has proven to be ocean-worthy and is very suitable as a boat for those setting off on long journeys and extended stays on board. The hull was built in 1994 by Mekon in Lemmer and only put into use in 1998. The hull is insulated with BASF Styrodur, making it suitable for both warm and colder regions. The Isuzu 81 HP diesel was installed in 2016. Power can also be generated with the 6 Kva generator. The Webasto heating system ensures that the interior remains pleasantly dry and warm. All navigation equipment you need for ocean passages is present. The interior is divided into several compartments that can be closed off with a watertight door.
Upon entering, the navigation corner is on the port side and the galley is a bit further back. On the starboard side there is a cosy seating area, and directly next to the entrance are the toilet and shower room. In the bow there is a cabin with a bunk bed, and a space with a washing machine. Right at the front there is an additional sleeping place. Through the corridor towards the back, where there is plenty of cupboard and storage space, one passes the engine room cum workspace. Right at the back there is a double cabin. For those seeking a well-built seaworthy yacht that is also suitable for long or perhaps even permanent stay on board, this Skarpson is certainly worth considering. Convince yourself by visiting her.
