More about the Koopmans Kustvaarder I 8.35 Koopmans 28
Now a beautiful round bilge offered at a particularly attractive price. Wonderful features such as high standing height inside, plenty of space for storage and tanks, great long keel hull so you can feel free to let go of the helm while sailing. Try that with a. They say difficult tack but that is not a problem for an experienced captain because you tack with the right wind.
A long keeler has a much stronger and less vulnerable construction underwater, usually also less draught.
This model has a hoisting and lowering installation that can be operated by a single person. The ship also has several line sets and offers you several methods of sailing. The short boom gives you sailing pleasure in the aft cockpit and is not uncomfortable in the way but gives comfort. On the superstructure are several wooden safety handles present without black water damage and therefore well cared for.
This coaster has a thick stainless steel railing with very sturdy scepter pots / holders and a very large pulpit with beautiful anchor chain guide plus a stainless steel front step made of a thick stainless steel bumper. There are thick stainless steel stairs present , one on the stern a nice wide and deep swim ladder so, plus a large stainless steel staircase for side step. The boat has a good heavy anchor which gives you enough sleep.
The mast is a beautiful and incredibly strong constructed long wood grain mast. This mast has been completely reconditioned and equipped with the latest glue system. The stays are less than 10 years old and in top condition. The entire boat was repainted last year. The boat has no water damage or sun damage.
The hull has no noticeable dents or other blemishes. There is a complete auto pilot system in place that works great. The sail set is in good condition and little used from new. There are several spars present to stabilize the headsail and there is also a real foresail present. There are existing eyelets present for a double Genoa. There is a very large aft cockpit present in this model coaster I, a complete round seat with high gloss wooden benches, with lots of storage.
The salon has a short very wide staircase with good handholds. Getting in and out is very easy. The high salon is deep and has long benches and starboard the navigation corner and port side the practical kitchen, with many storage cabinets. There is running water, a stainless steel sink, a tap, a 2 burner gas stove and a large and quiet WAECO compressor cool box.
The saloon has no mast coaming or mast passage, so you have extra space because there is no mast in the saloon. A very big advantage so to say.
The saloon cushions are almost new. The mattresses have never been used. The grodines are new and have a new quick hanging system.
There is a separate toilet with hand controls so no one wakes up in the night during flushing. Everything is nice and clean and fresh. The bilge is bone dry and completely incredibly clean over the entire ship. The windows are newly installed aluminum frames. There are 5 large windows in the salon plus 4 large portholes without water damage.
The walls plus the ceilings and all white surfaces are neatly beautiful undamaged and neatly clean. The paintwork is very well taken care of.
The engine room is very easy to open completely within a minute and very heavily insulated. The engine runs great, no leakage of oil or fuel or coolant on the engine. Everything looks very nice and the engine is super nice and clean.
The Yanmar 2GM20 is a series of inboard marine diesel engines manufactured by the Japanese company Yanmar Co. Ltd. It is used in a wide range of sailboats and powerboats. The engine was serviced just before the end of this season and is powerful and quiet.
It does have a new type now in production but all the parts are widely available.
The power source gives the boat a cruising speed of 16 kilometers per hour, and without a mast a top speed of 19 kilometers per hour. So the boat has a powerful energy source that keeps the boat very well under control. Rivers or big water are no problem. All skin passages have recently been checked and are in good condition. The boat has good ventilation and in daylight the boat is well lit. It is definitely not a dark boat inside. The electrical system is tightly installed and there is a nice control panel and dasboard in the navigation corner. Classic horn VHF radio which I always like to work.
The boat has a new antifoul coat that will last for several years, plus new anodes are present. The entire hull bottom is very nice and flat with no bumps at all. No play unexpected in rudder or propeller shaft. The boat goes every winter out of the water and inside in the shed.
The boat is inside the shed but in front of the crane so we can test sail. Call now for an appointment with Pieter Pepping your broker from White Whale Yachtbrokers 0653345219 or email [email protected]
