With her black hull and gaff rig with fixed bowsprit, she is a striking sight on the water. The design is by Martin Bekebrede and the hull was built at Kroes in Leeuwarden (NL). The boat was built under the supervision of the first owners; "Blackwater" has since proven herself on many voyages at sea as a solid and seaworthy yacht. Due to the shallow draft with the keel raised, she is also suitable for shallow waters and can even beach upright with wading legs. This combination makes her quite unique.
